Wow, I never thought I would find a site like this. I was given a Hebmuller by my grandfather in the late 80s and it was my first car. (Yeah, imagine that.) I sold it to a collector in Florida who was planning a ground-up restoration on it. I would love to know if it's still out there.

In the 70's I spent a lot of time around VWs. Whilst at school and college I earned extra money working in a VW specialist garage owned by a friend of my father, and I could honestly say I thought I had seen every incarnation of Veedubbery out there (including conversions to Porsche and Corvair engines). But I never even knew these existed; eee by eck you live and learn. This is indeed a handsome car, better even than Karman's efforts. BTW I learned about Hebmullers and the registry from the Piston Heads website.

Got Hebmuller parts? I am ready to change my Herbie into a 'Heb'. Looking for assistance. Just a girl T.G.

Another Hebmüller - built 1949 - slightly moderated - due to Germany's MOT regulations in the 1960s. We own it since 1961 - and have spent many a times taking it apart + re-building "her". Her name is "MARY LOU" - since "her" first number plate: M-LU...in the 1960s.

Yan Keep up the good work, the registry is a great source of information on everything Hebmuller. We make Hebmuller all steel replicas based (when possible) on split window beetles. Cheers Bernard

Hi Yan, Great update, wish to see more of this . I like the color book, thanks Rob. The brown color with beige side panels is awsome.... Keep it up, let the pics come. How about a information datasheet from each existing hebmuller. Greetings Peter,

Best regards from Munich, Germany - I did not know that there are so much Hebmueller Convertibles left as seen on one picture at your website. In our community we have two bugs from 1960 and also a very cool Porsche Spyder 550 replica. Our main focus is on cars from the 60s and 70s. Check out our website and if you like one car, let us know some of it is always on sale, but most of it LHD. One UK project is also stranded in our shop. A Ginetta chassis we still need lots of parts to complete. Reg GT

Is there someone who has a Hebmuller for sale? Or do you know someone. I want to buy a Heb who needs restoring. It doesn't have to be complete but it has to be a real T14! All offers welcome! Keep on the good work Yan! PS: Hessisch-Oldendorf was great!

In the book "Sonderkarosserien aus Deutschland: Karosserie Hebmuller" on page 80/81 you will find a Delahaye 135M. I am the proud owner since many years, but only since recently wenn I got the book, I know my car has a Hebmuller carrosserie. Is there anybody who can give me further information, especially concerning the first carrosserie since the chassis dates from 1938 and this carrosserie dates from 1952. Thanks Paul
